johnson to evinrude lower unit interchange

i need to know if a lower unit from a 1984 johnson 50 will fit a 1995 evinrude 50

Sorry the gearcase was updated in 1989. 89 and newer would interchange, and 88 and older would interchange. You need to look for a geacase from about 1977-78 (can't remember)-1988.
