Hi there, i believe it to be a mid 80's engine. It starts up fine but when i put the power on its seems to be missing, it did kick in once for about a second with all the power but then dropped out and started missing again. I took the plugs out and they all look the same, very black in colour but when tested they all appear to be sparking ok. The plugs are NGK B6HS, as i have only recently bought the boat im not even sure if they are the right ones and cant find any refference to the correct ones. would be very greatfull to hear from anyone with any experience with these motors.

Hard to answer that without knowing what year motor it is. Lots of changes were made in the 1980's.
