Johnson Sea Horse Tuneup.

In the mercury section there's a document about a link and sync after engine/carburetor rebuilt, I'm looking for something similar to it for the Johnson, on this engine a 1979 140HP, I have done a carburator rebuilt, new starter/solenoid, new impeller, some new wiring, and I would like to do a full carburator and timing adjustment, is there an easy document that explains it all? I do have the Seloc manual but we all know how good those books are.

The easy document is the OEM Service Manual, lp142.

Trying it with an aftermarket manual is probably not smart, but smarter than with no manual at all..

There are several sources; eBay, kencook.com, outboardbooks.com, etc.
