Hello,
I was just given 2 metal gas tanks from a family friend for helping them clean-up a shed. I think they are the old-style pressure tanks but not really sure. Can anyone tell me if they are and what outboards will they work for? I don't have any older motors so i may just clean them up a bit and sell them. are these tanks worth anything?

Yes, they are both pressure tanks (as evidenced by the bakelite gas cap and dual line hose) and yes they have some value. A good, clean, working tank with the hose-end fitting might bring as much as $100 on eBay, but usually a bit less. They typically bring $30 to $50 at swap meets, maybe more for a really nice one.

Those were made obsolete by the addition of a fuel pump. That happened in about 1957, give or take.
