Dear All, I have a Johnson Outboard Motor MODEL NO J30PL4SD 4 Stroke 30Hps Carb model which Stalls after 20 minute use, then restarts after waiting 5 minutes. The engine is clean and flushed all the time after use. It runs fine and smooth during that 20 minutes of use. The motor has no sensors or warning beeps. Do you think I need to replace the coil pack or power pack? Thanks in advance.

A Suzuki model I believe.----Replacing parts get expensive in a hurry !!-----When the motor stops pump the bulb on the hose.----Is it hard after 1 squeeze or 5 squeezes ?------Tried borrowing another tank and hose for a test run ?

if not fuel flow related try cooling down any suspect component to see if the restart time shortens.

Thankyou for the feedback, I have tried to pump the bulb which did not work, I will try another tank. Thanks again.

restarting after a 5 min. period would seem to indicate some form of fuel flow problem impacted by poor venting and a vacum build up that eventually clears out.

the alternative imho would be an electrical component fault caused by a high temperature intolerance eventually cleared out by cooling down.

Typically a conductor becomes " open" by heat expansion then reconnects when cooled down..... hence my suggestion to cool down suspected components like coils or CDI ..whatever

a simple $4 keyboard spray can held upside down will cool things VERY qwickly... just be careful if the stuff is flammable. IF the restart delay shortens down drasticly the "cooled" component is the likely suspect.
