I bought an older motor for my boat. It is a Johnson.. previous owner told me it was 18hp and from the 60's. the model # is FD-17M.. can anyone tell me the yr of the motor and what fuel mixture ratio it should be using. I have had it running but i am also having issues with the carb adjustment.. i need help finding the right idle possition. any ideas?
