Last 4 years replaced, power pack (3 times) for running rough, then eventually no spark, have just replaced plugs and power pack again, went for test run approx 30miles, stopped motor for a while then started , with no problems, sat on 3500 revs 20kts went to adjust trim on pushing switch for up or down motor started to miss/ loosing power, vibrating, releasing switch motor picked up again.Put into nuetral/idle adjusted trim/tilt with no veriation on motor, went to 4000 revs adjusted trim again motor was badly cutting out maybe only on 2 cyclinders, have checked wiring, battery terminals (not wing nuts). Volt gauge gets to 14.6v at 4000 revs, taco is working all the time except on cutout of course, checked all plugs and connections all okay. p.s. motor was also missing intermittently without adjusting trim but only sometimes and was not vibrating badly. Help please!!!!

First try to pull off ur trottle lever the screw will be on the left side . Then see if ur wires have gotten damaged from years of use . Second i think ur relay maybe on a bracket which some are gounded . Third disconnect the wires from ur trim motor that come from the throttle and test both parts the throttle and the switch on the motor housing it self tell me what find .It sounds like something is shorting out need to find the source it depends on the throttle some work off the same power as the main harness this is wyh u could have a problem . Also if these things dont give u a answer try running ur own power to the trim switch on the throttle ti cross out any shorts
