see video around minute 12:50 of a vst service on a smaller engine

the float itself contrarry to my understanding seems to cut off only the fuel entry to the vst ...

the vapour vent on top of your VST may be perfectly working whereas the float itselft is not doing the job of BLOCKING excess fuel which ends up exiting the vent valve on top.

in retrospect focus your search on the float inlet needle operation.

if it does getting fixed after you inspect it no fuel will reach the vent and none should !!
Wow Crosbyman,

Look at all those plastic parts and fragile wires.....amazing it works or lasts at all! I love how he wants you to just clean videl components when really things should just get replaced.

How about sucking on the air release nipple?? Probably taste pretty good huh!

Nice video, thanks for sharing.

I did clean the float needle and started it up. The float appears to be operating normally because the fuel is no longer pouring out the vent line. Also when I pump the Primer bulb it's getting hard, whereas before the fuel would just escape the vent line. When I have a chance this weekend I'll run it a little more but I think this was the issue. Crosbyman.....I am very grateful of all the information you have shared.. thanks for the time....I can't thank you enough! I have learned quite a bit about this engine in the last few months and it's given me quite a bit of confidence in troubleshooting future problems if they arise.

glad to help out... I do sometimes eat crow but if this one works out it is worth 10 crow plates to me :)

hope you did not mind sucking a fuel nipple :)

saltchuck matt....

agree money solves most issue but fixing a problem and spending the hard earned $$$ on something else is a great feeling.
