johnson manual tilt problem

I have a 1988 70hp Johnson . The manual tilt/run lever and tilt support doesn't work at all and the tilt assist cylinder is very still. I've had it serviced but it was not helpful. Any suggestions? Can I replace the entire tilt bracket?

Welcome to the forums tkuhn.<br /><br />Just a little more info if you would.<br /><br />When you say the manual tilt/run lever and tilt support doesn't work at all, are you saying they won't move or the engine won't catch when tilted up?<br /><br />And I am not sure at all by the "tilt assist cylinder is very still" comment you made.<br /><br />Could you elaborate a little on what's happening?<br /><br />Thanks.
