Hi All !

I need help on my 70hp evinrude outboat motor, I just got this boat recently and 1st time i took it out engine was running fine ,then 2nd time I took it out again . First thing I notice right away is . when I started my engine the boat take off with no problem and all suddenly my speed & rpm drop back to zero .

I have to shut off the engine and restart my engine again in order to pick up my speed again. Prior it happen I 'd notice I lost a pressure on the fuel line bulb,

I disconnected fuel line then reconnect again ,that's how i made it back to shore, one other thing my rpm is gradually slowly increase .

Thanks .

Chris

My '67' 60 hp evinrude will do that if I forget to open the fuel tank vent, sounds like a fuel issue for sure.

Closed tank vent or bad fuel pump. Pump the bulb and see if it stays running. Be siure the tank is properly vented. Rick

Hi a70eliminator!

At one point I open a fuel tank vent and it ran with no problem, then I shut

off the motor. 15 minutes later I start the engine run it again and this time

the problem is back again .

Anyway It's getting cold right now , I just put my boat away already .

And thank you for your help .

Thanks .
