Johnson 60 hp 1986 model no:BJ60LCds s/no J7117614
three cylinder VRO

As part of the winterising program I have removed carbs for cleaning. I should note that the motor worked great on my 16ft Waverider sportsboat this summer here in the UK, however the engineer in me (aircraft) means I have to check everything out.

My problem is not major but I cannot believe it is correct that when
looking into body of carb from float chamber direction the smaller diameter main jet tube is hard up against the side of the main jet tube, ie not concentric. The inner part is also hard up against the orifice in the venturi but on the other side, the jet appears to be loaded somehow.Hard to explain really, all three carbs are the same, can this be right? any advice please.
