Johnson and Evinrude cross refrencing parts?

Is there any material on cross refs from Johnson to Evinrude and back. I know a lot of parts are interchangeable. Specifically will a 1975 6hp Johnson long shaft lower end fit up to a 1979 6hp Evinrude short shaft. Thank you

The parts lists on the Boats dot net website will cross reference any part to all the models Johnson or Evinrude it fits back to 1968

Racer.....one of us is misunderstanding his question.
If the OP is asking whether you can unbolt the LS L/U, and put it on the S/Shaft motor....the answer is , as you say, yes.

If he wants to salvage the LS gearcase and put it onto the short shaft motor and keep it as a short shaft, he will have all the parts needed and extras, but there will be a bit of dismantling and reassembly.....e.g. he will have to open up the gearcase to separate the driveshaft from the pinion gear....there is an extension that won't be needed...etc.
