I have 98 or 96 Johnson, and it takes me till 30 minutes of "choking" until engine starts.
After warming it works fine till another long (>2 weeks) no boating time.

Any idea why it's "not willing" to start after two weeks time?

Are you pumping your primer before you try to start it? Does the bulb get firm?

Try squirting some fuel mix in the carb before you try her. Do not use starting fluid.

Let us know and we will go from there.

Good luck. :)

Sergey T:
It Also Sounds Like Maybe It Wouldn't Hurt To
Run A Littel OMC Engine Tuner Thru It First
An Then Install New Plug's.
