1997 Johnson 88 SPL

We have replaced many parts and motor finally works great - sucker purrs but.... :

Now I'm getting every once in a while, a single beep and no start, eventually moving the throttle back and forth, or taking battery terminals off or some combination, it will start again - till it won't.

Items replaced related to this electrical issue:
New Solenoid, New ignition/key, new battery

I've bypassed the kill switch with the same result - just beep no start....

What I think it is could be the Neutral Safety Switch... if it has one, I can't find so far. I thought it was at the throttle control but it's very difficult getting into the guts of this...

Can I bypass this neutral feature, any ideas on which wires??

Just for starters, Make absolutely sure the gear shift is in neutral. Connect a voltmeter to the starter to measure the voltage while cranking the motor.

Fixed...!! We were able to maneuver our phone's camera into a space and take a picture of the wires leading in, after splicing these together the issue was fixed - well decent work around (no neutral switch). For our rigging this was black & yellow wires. Thank you and Thank you for your service.
