Hi thanks for the information of the removal of the lower leg.
I am trying to renew the oil containers in the propeller shaft water has been getting into the bottom unit and I believe the oil is leaking from this, and in turn water is getting in.
I cannot remove the BRG HOUSING SEAL ASSEMBLY. Have removed the four bolts from inside, then screwed two bolts in the front with steel plates across the gear housing and wound on these to get it to slide out. Well I think I have stripped the threads on these and the BRG HOUSING SEAL ASSEMBLY did not budge. I had sprayed this with CRC for three days to try and make it easer to remove. May be I should take this to a marine shop to get this removed? I know the cost may be high. I also put hot water on the outer housing to help but with no luck.
Maybe someone may be able to help me THANKS
By the way the weather hear today at Whangarei NZ was 31degrees the water was so flat boats everywhere doing all things boats do and my poor thing is out of commission.
