Johnson 8 hp water pump question

Im looking to purchase a water pump kit for an 8hp Johnson, late 80's early 90's. is the kit for the 9.9hp the same for this one? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Youll find the individual part numbers and the part number for the repair kit in the outboard parts section of iBoats

Enter the HP and the actual year or the model number and look at the gearcase diagram
