I am trying to align my throttle shift / shift cables. Is there also away to set the neutral safety switch. Then engine will start but it looks like it thinks its in neutral when in fact the throttle handle is actually not in neutral?

Sorry I dont want to bypass the neutral safety switch. I am looking to align the shift throttle cables... When the boat thinks its in neutral the console is actually in the forward position (if that makes sense?) So I was wondering how you align it all up so that the console is in neutral.

You would adjust the lower cable on the motor. That is for the shifting. Put the console in neutral and the adjust the lower cable until the motor is in neutral. There is a keeper for the cables that you need to losen up to be able to turn them. It's right next to the black adjustment knobs.
