I'm not sure what year my motor is, but here are my problems. I poured fuel on the carb and it started, but after that it would only start for a few seconds, but wouldn't keep running. What do you think the problem could be?<br />Thanks!
Have a look on the transom clamp for the ID tag. That will tell us the year. <br />Off handed, it sounds to me like the carburetor is clogged. Time to pick up a carb kit (once you know the year) and rebuild it.
