ON MY NEW TO ME 1987 55 HP TILLER MANUAL START LONGSHAFT I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE TILT PIN INTO THE LOWEST HOLE ON THE SWIVEL BRACKET. IF I START IT THROUGH ONE SIDE IT COMES INTO CONTACT WITH THE TRIM ASSIST CYLINDER AND WON'T MAKE IT TO THE OTHER HOLE. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE AS IT SHOULD AS FAR AS THE BRACKETS AND THE TILT CYLINDER GO. i AM ASSUMING OMC WOULD HAVE MADE THAT LOWEST HOLE ACCESIBLE. I TRIED A SMALLER DIAMETER TILT PIN BUT EVEN THAT WOULDN'T GO IN WITHOUT CONTACTING THE TILT CYLINDER. NOTE THIS MOTOR DOES NOT HAVE POWER TRIM, JUST THE SIMPLE ASSIST CYLINDER (NOT THE TOUCH TRIM STYLE THAT USES A HANDLE TO PUT INTO RAISE OR LOWER POSITION). SORRY FOR SO MANY POSTS COVERING DIFFERENT QUESTIONS ON THIS OUTBOARD I JUST AM TRYING TO SORT IT ALL OUT. THANK YOU
