I stand to be corrected, but I believe you will need the model number of the motor bracket to decipher the year and make....I just purchased a boat and it has a 40hp Johnson I don’t know the year or the model the only thing I have is a serial number

"G" in serial number indicates it was made in Georga. If a list of Georgia serial to model numbers exists, I certainly have never seen it.
