Johnson 35hp longshaft conversion...

I currently have a Johnson 35r766 35hp short shaft that I would like to make a long shaft. Can someone point me in the right direction for a kit or do I need to find a factory long shaft? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont know about kits. But when I looked up your motor many of the parts you need are no longer available. Maybe you could find a long shaft motor and take the pieces from it. That is what i did. I think your model number should read 35R76G not 35R766.

According to the model number (35753H), it's actually a 1977 which should fit your motor.

The extension kit was part number 386992, listed as no longer available. Last price when it was available was $383.25. I guess by now you are looking for another motor.
