Let me ask since as I see that you have just about the same l/u as mine. If it is not too much trouble can you post a pic of your shifter rod. I cannot tell if mine has a bend to it near the bottom above where it connects to the gear. I would really appreciate it.

That offset bend is just as mine are,I would say yours is good to go!

Are you able to buy this product 847 sealer online anywhere?

I just bought a 5 oz.tube from Grainger industrial,cost $12.61 but it has to be shipped as hazzardous material at another 9 bucks

all back together but no forward. i have reverse. but in forward its not spinning the shaft, ill have to resemble and see what the go is! im sure that ive put something back wrong! any ideas?

Ok not sure what i have done here, i cant seem to get my head around why i can get foward to work, the prop seems to just spin freeley but reverse works fine.
Im not sure if i have put it back wrong i have a service manual but no parts manual to see how its assembled and if ive put something back in the wrong place, if someone could help me out would be most appreciated cheers nouse

Recheck the linkage connector and screw? When you shift in Forward, the linkage should move up.

It's either the shift connector as shown (screw out maybe) or adjust the linkage at the shift handle.

i dont think its the shift connector swrew because i have the leg off and tryed doing it by hand! i can get reverse and nuterul, but in forward when the i pull the gear leaver up and the spin the prop the drive shaft wont spin, as when i put it in reverse push the leaver down and spin the prop the driveshaft spins!! cheers nouse

As somebody else mentioned earlier, I too get my 847 from Fastenal. It's about 13 bucks for a tube without hazmat charges as somebody else mentioned.

Hmmm... That doesnt sound too good. If you have the LU off and cant find forward you're gonna need to take it apart and check it out.

Thats what im thinking samo_ott, i have the parts manual so ill take it apart and see if ive put it back together right! im guessing im done something wrong somewhere!! once i have it apart again ill take some pics and resemble and see what happens.. cheers nouse
