they sound like dirt bikes on a hose, woke the neighbors with mine.
Not sure about those holes, I'd get the manual and see.
MAybe they had to drill holes to get easy access to the lower bolts but you didn't say what work was done.
If thats so, they saved you the labor expense of having to pull the head. Its actually recommended by the pro techs here.
