how do you do that, im pretty new at this

You need to purchase/borrow a compression testing gauge. you remove one of the spark plugs, and put the gauge in its place, turn the engine over and note the reading and then repeat for each cylinder. get back to us with the results.

I know this may sound like a foolish question, but how hard do you thing a 20HP engine should pull over? Is this engine new to you? Has this engine ever run right for you? What is the voltage on that battery? A volt meter is a poor battery test, but 12.2 volt's is a half charged battery.

Hey guys i got it to run. I kept spraying wd40 in it and let it soake for a couple of days and now it pulls fine. Changed the points and it cranked right up.

I would do a decarb just in case.
