My trim function died completely. The controls produce "clicks" at the relays (and heavy drain of the battery), but no movement. Put a meter on the 2 wires to motor, and got connectivity, seems to be completely grounded. <br />How do I raise this engine so I can get access to the trim motor? I know where the "bleed" value is, but how do you lift it up?

Re: Johnson 200 Trim Motor

The boat is in the water. What I'm trying to find out is how one can "lift it by hand". I tugged on it yesterday with the valve open and it didn't budge. Can you use a prybar, or do you need some kind of winch?
