Johnson 1988 V4 trim problem

The trim on my 1988 Johnson will tilt up with the switch, but will not go down when any of the 3 switches are pushed. Suggestions?

Switch the relays and see if the problem follows the relay. If it does, replace the relay. Also, be sure to thoroughly clean the wiring connections inside the relay box.

Start off by swapping the relays. If the problem follows the relay, replace it.

Thanks for the replies. I swapped the relays, and up AND down trim started working, so must be a marginal relay. I am replacing both.
