Prop shaft diameter/gear box size ?

I'm seeing two options n don't know how to tell

Need to know what size gearbox....don't know how to tell. Props sold by gear box size, splines,......ect

Don't have one within reasonable distance

One that's an hour away won't deal with Evinrude what so ever so ...

Your location ?----Measure the diameter of the gearcase at the back.----Count the splines on the shaft.

Splines are 13. When looking at props all sites seem to list large gear case and small gear case for same years....both seem to display 23 splines.

What do I measure and what does it tell ?

We are in 30454....shop in Statesboro used to handle these engines...being they got burnt I guess on software and associated Evinrude business they say they simply don't deal with them anymore
