Johnson 15hp Starting Problems......

So i have posted threads on here several times and have recieved lots of help. My johnson 1975 15hp outboard starts when i pull start it but when i use the electric start it sounds strong for the first two pushes of the button but on that 3rd push it sounds like my starter is going out (like a car on a bad bat.) also i did notice that then i pushed the start button sparks came out from the bottom of the starter??? I have a brand new marine battery so that is not the problem. is there a site that i can locate a good yet cheap on the price$$$$ starter???

What does it mean when a motor is running RICH?

Motor running rich = too much fuel is entering the engine.

Your electric starter needs either repairing or replacing.

No such thing as cheap when working with outboards.
Below is a site that lists your starter.
You might look in the "Top Secret Files" at the top of the page and look at the list of salvage yards there, maybe one of them can help you out.
