i have a 1976 johnson 135 v4. I put it on the muff in the yard and fired it up only to notice that i have a small hole just below the water intake. Water gets in my gear case and runs out of the lower unit drain hole when the screw is out. I was wondering where i might find a gear case and about how much it will cost. i dont need the internals just the housing

Can you take photo of hole? Perhaps you just need seal kit?

that may be a normal drain hole so no water remains in the motor to freeze and cause damage. A picture would be nice.

If it's directly below the intake, and perfectly round, odds are it's the one mentioned above. Does it shoot a pretty steady stream, straight out when on the muffs?

As for posting pics, it's much easier if you open a free "Photobucket" account. Then it's just cut and paste
