Does anyone know where I can find an after market carburetor to fit this engine, The air mixture seats are worn out and they don't seem to be able to be replaced. I've rebuilt the carburetor on this engine about three times in the last 10 years and now I'm told the air and fuel mixture needle seats are worn out.

Look at the top of the page in the "Top Secret File" sticky, there is a list of salvage yards there, give some of them a call and see if they can help you out.

It is the seat that is worn out, so the mechanic I took it to told me. He also said that They could not be replaced like the ones in the newer carburetors.

hmmmm.... :/ Sounds fishy, do you have a pic by any chance? Pretty rare for anything to "wear out" on these old motors, which is why so many folks love them. A lot of mechanics aren't really that familiar with them either, so they may not exactly be making the best diagnosis. Either way, you can get a whole new carb online for pretty cheap. Check ebay, aomci.org, or ask around here in the forums. They're very simple and bolt right in place. A carb from almost any QD model should work.
