Thinking about putting a jet unit on my 1989 100hp Mariner motor. The boat is a 1968 aluminum deep V Crestliner. Can you put a jet unit on just any boat or is there bottom designs that work better than others? What controls would I need in addition to the jet unit. Is there any changes or modifications that would have to be made to either the boat or controls? Are there other issues that may be a concern? Thanks for any information you have and share.

Most jets are on semi-flatbottom hulls, a jet on a deep V defeats shallow water operation. What are you trying to do?

Looking for a help when it comes to being able to launch when the water level in local lakes and resevoirs are low. Trying to extend the fishing season. The drought out west has been severe.

get a hydraulic jack plate.

as indicated, you are not gaining much if any draft depth with your current boat.
