Im thinking about buying a jet ski in Nevada, but am not sure what are the title laws there. In Arizona it is just a Game and Fish Department registration part for any boat or PWC. In other states the rules are different so im kinda concerned as to what to look for. The seller showed this, but i want to double check first

You better call the states involved. The ski has never been registered since May of 2007. That is not a title, but the certificate of manufacture that is turned into the state in exchange for a title on a new watercraft.

From what I can tell, Nevada does title boats. So your seller shouldn't have that piece of paper.

What GA_ boater said.

Are there any registration numbers on the vessel?
And does he have the registration card?
Does it have the sellers name on it?

Always get title, registration card, and detailed bill of sale, with date, names, addresses, phone numbers of both seller and buyer.
All paperwork should be in the sellers name.

Never hurts to snap a photo of the sellers vehicle and license plate with your phone. Could be valuable in tracking down seller in case you have issues down the road.
