Im looking for a small steering wheel for my jet boat i have looked every where over the last few months all i have come across is 13" wheels need one between 8 to 10 " does anyone know of where i can get one thanks much appreciated

I just replaced my entire steering system this year, and put a new steering wheel from Cabella's on my jetboat. I kept the old one inside my steel barn out of the weather....it's still there. I also still have the old helm and steering cable too...I think it was the original steering system for the boat. It got stiff, so I pulled it all out and replaced the helm and cable as a set and the original wheel didn't fit the helm to well...unless I were to have to file down the key that holds the wheel to the helm. ( I didn't want do that...so I didn't). I opted to leave the old parts alone and put a new one on instead.
I still have the wheel and (horn like) button that is locked into the steering wheel by a metal C clip wire too. Now keep in mind that my boat is a 1975 Starbuck 18' boat, and the wheel isn't perfect...but If your interested get back to me. I think we could make a deal....would take a picture or two and let you decide what it's worth. The steering wheel style is chromed 3 spoke style wheel with a foam rubber grip around the entire steering wheel...and yes...I believe I still have the original key that fits the wheel and helm slot too. I tried to keep everything together in one place...in case I decided to reuse it later.

Hey mike if you dont mind putting me in the number 2 spot on your list, itd be greatly appreciated, i'm having a horrible time finding any jet boat stuff down here and a lot of its unfortunately not compatible with outboard, sterndrive, or inboard rigging. Sorry about a minor hijack, feel free to pm me with specifics.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I don't come onto this forum very often as you can tell.

What is it you are looking for specifically? I can sent you a few links to jet boat parts if you need me to, and I still have the small steering wheel I removed from my jet boat. (1976 18' Starbuck with 402 BBC and Berkeley 12JC Jet pump) I am sort of hanging on to that steering wheel in case somebody wants it...otherwise I would have justed tossed it after replacing the wheel with one from the Cabella's in Kansas.
I purchased a brand new helm and cable system for my jet boat from a company in Arizona last year. New parts are working great! By the way, never try to just free up a steering cable system in a boat. It's not that hard to swap out, and it beats not being able to steer your boat safely sometime down the line when the old cable locks up again. Always think of your safety, your passengers safety and everyone else on the lake that you might run into if your steering locks up.
