My grown son has the day off and watching Jerry Springer and I can't help but listen and partially watch it also!!!! <br /><br />How can anybody watch that crape???? You can understand the way the country is going with programs like this!!! <br /><br /><br />MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

I don't know how much of it is hype for the shock factor or if there really are people like that in this world. Scarey if so.<br /><br />I don't watch but when the show first came out I did. There is some real trash on there including Springer himself.

"SPRINGER" is popular I guess because it represents what's going on in so many of our country's households. Same could be said for the show "EARL".<br /><br />Sad commentary on life in America if you ask me. I watch neither.

It's all rehearsed and fake. I too thought it was an ego booster(made me feel a little better about myself)until I found out they are paid actors. Took all the fun out of it.

I actually have met people who live to watch Springer, Oprah, and Dr Phil. Pretty sick stuff.<br />Havent had a TV on (when having a day off during the week) in 15 years or so. <br />But then I don't do Malls either! <br />Self Edit: 11:30 AM During lunch.. and I'm doing IBOATS! ??? Guess it's where you want to spend your time!

It's not all rehearsed and fake, but most of it is. There was a kid from my high school that went on with some friends of his because they were in the KKK and the show brought a bunch of big black guys on. A fight broke out and that kid lost 2 teeth and got a black eye. He said it wasn't rehearsed. Serves him right anyway. Oh, and they called my house one time wanting to talk to my roommates(my cousin) boyfriend. That was weird.<br /><br />I've persoanlly only watched the show maybe 5 or 6 times, but I must say, it's fun to watch. If you ever think your family is dysfunctional, just turn on Jerry. Makes you feel so much better.

That doesn't always work. My family makes the Springer families look like the Cleavers.

I watch it so I can deal with some of the people I have to interact with. It helps to know who you are dealing with.
