I afraid JBs tanks are getting low. A while back he reported the need to move some catfish from one tank to another. I think we all need to meet there and help ;) ;) him move the catfish from one tank to the frying pan. For bribery purposes we should all bring a fine single malt.

Tank is down to about 18". The mud flat surrounding it sinks a horse to its belly. I am now watering the horses from a faucet fed metal tank. :(

The other tank, where the seed stock must go, is still dry as a bone. :(

If it ever rains again I will probably be stocking from scratch. :(

Don't worry about Catzilla. She is at death's door from an unidentified malady and barely has the strength to bite and scratch when I try to medicate her. :(

Re: JBs tank

The gas drilling company is going to clean out the tank, seal and fill the backup tank and help me with the fish, if there are any left. No charge. Part of the deal to sell them water when the new, larger tank fills in the spring. . .or whenever it rains again.

They are currently constrained by the state of emergency in Parker County. . .no earth moving equipment allowed to operate in dry areas except to fight fires. No smoking, welding, offroading or any other potential fire starter allowed either.

Re: JBs tank

I knew they done the welding and such thing in Callahan Co. but I didnt know where else had picked it up. We went to the in-laws this weekend at about every intersection they had up a sign warning of a statewide burn ban,and high fire risk. I WONT RED IN THE MORNING!

Sounds like a good operator on your gas lease. When they clean the tank have them coat the sides and bottom with a heavy layer of used drilling mud. it will seal the bottom of a gravel tank. its the best tank sealer available.

again sorry about el gato hoping for a turn-around in health.
