JB WaterWeld

Anybody here ever used JB WaterWeld. It's a epoxy putty stick that you knead and then use to repair, form, stuff, etc. For small work it seems ideal - low cost, no mixing, no cleanup, available at Wallyworld. Cut off a chunk, massage for a few seconds and form. Can be sanded, drilled, ground, blah, blah. Just wondered what conventional wisdom says.

No, but I have used JB Stikweld with great results. It works just like you said but may have some different properties than the WaterWeld.

There was some cracks from water freezing under the "plate" in my water pump. The Stikweld fixed it right up.

I also broke my plastic "control panel" on my carb. ('69 'rude). After numerous failures with superglue I superglued it then put the Stickweld neatly on the back side to reinforce it. Looks like that's going to work out great as well.

I really like how it's putty-like consistency can be molded into various shapes.

I'm going to post pics of the latter when I get a chance.

I have used it to patch holes in fiberglass from old downrigger mounts. It works but the best use I have found for instand epoxy,is in the glove box for emergencies. I carry the fast set stuff.

I used it on a craked water jacket on a i/o and it is good a season later

When I read your post I went to look at the tube of WaterWeld I have. It's almost gone, but I can't even remember what all I used it on. I guess that's a good thing though, cuz if it wouldn't have worked I would probably remember what I used it on. IMO it's good stuff.

i have a bag with some tools,fuses. and jumper wires.
i will now add some JB waterweld.

what does everybody else carry in their bags???
