Just saw a Show in japan about the new calais by shimano that might have the DC computer control casting in it so that is going to one SWEET REEL like the calcutta, but low prof.

The shimano drags have clickers? I do like a drag that clicks.

Ever used a calcutta? What's it like? Wonder if the electronics drive the price up, or if it's mechanically superior to other shimanos.

yes they have clickers well most of them do. My chronarch SF doesnt but the rest do. The DC is the best shimano reel they make and is the farthest caster. Calcutta 100DC is 499 so yea it does make the price go up. I have a calcutta and its one of the best reels i have for all around fishing either for bass, catfish or salt water fish including Tarpon.

Skeeterboy,

Just wanted to say my Daiwa Advantage has a click drag. Don't know why the more expensive ones wouldn't.

Tried to e-mail you again, did you get it? If not, can you e-mail me at dmumford(AT)americancamper.net? Yup, got more questions!

Dan
