The hydraulic jackplate used on my Yamaha 200 makes a severe grinding noise going both up & down. The problem had gotten worse over about 6 months. I have rarely used it. My first suspicion is that it is low on hydraulic fluid. So the question is: What type of fluid might be used in this device? I do not know the manufacturer but it has a separate motor/hydraulic pump connected to a cylinder with two lines. Suggestions would be appreciated.
