the previous owner had the L87Y, I bought a new pair LCcJC4, what’s the right Gaps for it? It’s was about 0.20 ish, I read some articles says should be 0.30-0.40, would this be the reason I couldn’t start it?
I posted a while ago, had questions regarding the oil mix ratio, and my motor started on 2nd pull after I clean the carb, run really smooth in the bucket, after I took it to marine, it wouldn’t start. the pressure is 98 on both cylinders, I check the spark plugs it was really wet, so I think might be the plugs has to be addressed, can some one help? I got the replacement for the pull knob for the prime, let me know what’s the correct procedure to start it!
Thank you 🙏

You purchased the correct plugs, gap them to .30

Early '88 models had a slow speed mixture needle on top of the carb (top front). If yours has the needle, set it to 1 1/2 turns from lightly closed (clockwise). See if it starts and runs.

Did you ever fix your primer knob and test that it's pumping fuel?
Yes, I got the knob and installed i, I don’t know if it pumped fuel, but I took out the brand new plugs after I pull so many times, it has the fuel on the tip of plugs, and the water bucket has a lot of oil/fuel in it.

Answers needed.-----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on a testing device ?----Testing device can easily be made at home.-----Are you familiar with how the manual primer on the motor works ?----Does that primer pump fuel into the motor?----Perhaps test the primer valve.
