Thanks in advance for any assistance on this issue. When I have my port engine (5.7 liter merc) in neutral or just engaged and moving very slowly, my engine will trim up, however, once I reach plane and try to trim the engine up the port engine will not move. I do not have this issue with my other engine. I have tried to see if it is a connection issue by having the engines off and triming up while moving the engine lever, but the engine comes up. It is only when I am running that it does not trim up.

There may be a problem with the pump, ie not producing enough pressure to raise the drive under a load. Checking pressure capability requires hi-pressure guage (3000 psi).

Is the reservoir plastic or aluminum?

What year is the drive system?

The fluid levels in the gear drive and the pump area are at the correct levels. The reservoirs are plastic. The system is on a 1999 Sea Ray 310 and looks like the original system that came with the boat.
