Jealous no, annoyed yes. I only have to clean it inside and out but I do it after every outing. We use her SUV to tow and after our last vacation last week, I almost fell over after she cleaned out the inside of the truck. I don't think she's ever detailed any vehicle ever.

Since the boat is for my wife and she is the one who wanted one she keeps her mouth shut.
Like I tell her I am the one who makes it go by working on it.:D

:D...Yes sometimes its quite easy to turn around. I just smile and assure her she will get 100% of my time right now if she would like that...no problem.Took me 25 years to get that..:D

Mine only cares if it gets to be too much in a week. You know with the shooting, hunting, reloading, camping, trapping, fishing(ponds/creeks), lawn work, auto work (3 vehicles), fixing up the boat, time with our boys, and yes even house work. There never does seem to be enough time for our "alone time". No wonder she says I have to many hobbies.

Well I ask this question cause I kid you not.. My last girl left me cause of the boat... Use to say i was cheating on her with it.. I only got it for family fun.. I bought it for spit and with chewing gum, duct tape and blood got it running for us to play with.. It was okay though cause I used it to move all my stuff back to my home town..
Here we are new girl.... She bought me the boat I have now.. Have noticed a bit of pouting(cause have been working hard on it to get it ready), but we haven't even been out in it yet... So hoping for no problems and lots of fun..She likes the going shopping part.. But ofcourse all of em love shopping for anything

My wife is jealous of anything that doesn't involve me sitting on the couch with her. Or that involves me being more than 10 feet away at any given time.

Yes she wants me to fix everything and wants me to be with her at the same time . When I'm working on something she wants to know what is taking so long. She dont understand rebuilding a 6 hp mercury was not easy your first time, but when we are on the Ohio River and someone is broke down I just remind her of me going out there and making sure everything is right b4 we leave. you really want her fired up get 2 12" aluminum 6hp mercury and 363 FS Javelin 115 Evinrude.

I'm one of the lucky ones. She encourages me to do it and is glad when I'm having a good time with it. She's a treasure in a lot of ways. (Hope she reads this:D)

Mine affectionately calls mine the "mistress". Its where all of my time and money are spent. When I talk about "her" my eyes light up and always have a big smile.

Re: Is your wife jealous of your time spent working on your boat

Well we went out on our first trip this last Sunday.. I think she may have changed her mind.. I had the boat running perfect and she had a great time.. Boat ran so good it surprised me.. It was built when I was in the 5th grade..:D I took a good amount of tools with me just in case.. Turned out to be ballast;). Anyhow I think her jealousy issue is over now..
