Didn't take you long PW. I have been hearing from you for the past years whenever something like this was posted with a right spin how unimportant their issues were with the war and all. Republicans were deflecting. What's this?

I am a heterosexual WASP. If I get mugged, beat up, or killed is that a lesser crime than a crime against a minority?

Hey PW no problem with womans rights.. The thing that is disgusting, repulsive, and an abomination are all the mentally disturbed fags popping out of the woodwork pushing for their agenda which further adds to the degradation of society right after the Dem's get some power. Says volumes for the mind set of the party.......doesn't it?

Well, at least the American people will be reminded what the democrats really stand for, right before the 2008 vote.

Re: Is this America Is this the democratic party?

Homophobia is a tough thing to get past. Personally, I change the channel or avoid anything to do with homosexuality. Its not that I am against it ot hate it. I understand the underlying issues, and I undestand both sides of the situation. I understand why some feel marriage is only for a man and a woman. I also understand why homosexuals are fighting for equality. I just choose not to watch it, because I pretty much don't care either way. No one is trying to make me become homosexual. They aren't sending homosexuals door to door to spread the word of butt-love, unlike the various religions that come to my door to spread the word of God. In fact, a person could say religion pushes harder than homosexuals do to convert everyone into the Collective, but whatever.

Don't like seeing gay pride rallies, don't watch, thats easy enough...

BTW, do you guys really believe there are no such things as gay repubilcans? Their out there, they just hide it because they don't want to be lynched by their intolerant party. Thats just sad....

And yes, I am quite sure there are homophobic gay basher Democrats....Somewhere...

I believe Firestar answered your question. His kind of hatred is the reason we offer a little extra discouragement to people who hate others for the way the live, pray, dress, or talk. When was the last time you had to worry about being beaten for being a heterosexual WASP? Can you image being gay and confronted by someone like Firestar?

No chugger, what we have done is created subgroups where some rights apply to some groups while other groups do not enjoy their benefit.

ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. I don't know how we could have misunderstood this statement.

To suggest there are no violent, straight haters is absurd. They may be small in #'s, but they do exist.

"ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. I don't know how we could have misunderstood this statement." - All it seems to take is a little fear. Minorities don't have any extra rights in terms of protection against violence. It's not about them. It's about the people that are afraid that their world is somehow threatened by them. Hate comes from anger, anger comes from fear, and fear comes from ignorance. An old guy I worked with over 30 years ago taught me that. I've seen the truth of it often since then. The extra protection some minorties seem to be getting is just a little extra incentive to not attack someone because they don't fit our concept of what humanity should be. If I rob a gay person and do nothing but ask for his wallet and get caught I'll be tried for robbery. If I beat the crap out of a gay person for no reason other than I believe he's a degenerate I'll be tried for a hate crime. They're two different crimes if I do them seperately I'll be tried for them seperately. If I do them together I'll be tried for them together.

Absolutely true. Can't remember when I read about a group of gays going out for a night of straight bashing but I'm sure it could happen.

Re: Is this America Is this the democratic party?

Another conservative leader, the Rev. Louis Sheldon of the Traditional Values Coalition, asserted that the gay-rights bills likely to advance next year will infringe on the rights of those who condemn homosexuality.

"All Americans must be prepared to endure serious threats to their freedom of speech, their right to make employment decisions as business owners, and their religious freedom in the business world," Sheldon said.
