OK, another things to consider for your logistics..... (BTW, I have a 12'x12' inflatable lake trampoline)....

After all the fun time is over, how you going to deflate that thing and get that wet mess back in the boat to take home ? My trampoline thing is water logged and heavy !

So, it packs in a bag about the size of a bounce house. I've inflated, deflated, and packed it up in less than 15 minutes, but that is dry. there SHOULD be no material that will suck up water, so it may be wet and maybe a little sandy, but shouldn't be a huge burden to put away. Point taken, though. It will be a learning experience when we take it out, and it will only come out for full-day trips.

Here, by the way, is a picture of the finished product.

I'm happy to see you figured something out. For future reference, if you end up needing a new blower, the cordless electrics would work fine for you, without the inconvenience of a gas model. Run time would not be a concern, especially given the small amount of time it takes to inflate your inflatable with a blower. You can get a cheap cordless blower for $50 or $60 these days. Run time on the cheaper (smaller voltage) units is about 15 minutes per charge.

Here is the Island shot from a retailer

Here is the island in action (inflated with the converted leaf blower). Note that it is kinked because I didn't inflate the floor of the lounger section completely. Kids were too antsy to get on the thing!

I'll tell you, though, it is not for a casual afternoon on the lake. getting it deflated and packed up was a chore, and luckily my buddy had his 24' pontoon boat available to lay it out and fold it up at the end of the day. Without a beach or a large floating platform, I would've had to leave it unfolded until I got back to the dock!
