Donno,... Never bought the marine stuff, just the industrial enamel....

Technically yes. The topside paint is a Modified Alkyd Oil Base where as the Profesional Grade is a Standard Alkyd Oil based. You can go to the Rusoleum website and look at the TDS sheets to get the suttle differences in the chemical makeup of the two. Bottome line IMHO either will work but why pay more when the Pro grade works fine. I'm going to try the Valspar Tractor Paint on my next project to see if it's any better. I doubt it will be due to the fact, again, it is a standard Alkyd Oil Based paint. With the Hardener I think they will all perform basically the same.

Hey Wood, how bout the difference between the marine grade and the non-prof stuff (just the reg enamel)?.....I use the hardener

My research says the Pro and the Standard Oil based Rustoleum are almost identical in composition. Only difference is the Pro's binders may make it a bit more durable. With the hardener additive they are pretty much the same.
