Is there a Themostat or not on 59 Johnson?

Pulling lower unit to change impeller tomm.
I have not seen any info on a themostat. I do not know if there is one on this motor. 18HP W/elec starter,Model FD13R . I am just preparing myself for something unexpected i guess?

Thanks for the info. I bet its not easy to change? I will have to search the motor just to find where its located. I am just trying to cover all bases with this motor.

Should be right on top of the head, remove 3 bolts and take the cover off.
