Aluminum is pretty soft, I would ask around, a place that fixes lower units might be able to do it. And then it's done right the first time.

If you're able to do it with JB Weld, they'll be able to do it with aluminum.

Any welder worth his/her salt can do that with their eyes closed. I wouldn't hesitate to track down a TIG welder to have them address it.

They'll build it up with a bead or three then grind it back down to match the existing.
