No, there is not a pee hole or "telltale" on Force outboards, at least not the kind that shoots a stream of water out that you could see while underway.....However one can be added if you want....do a search of this forum for "telltale".....several folks on here have done it.

Thank you for your great answer. I will definitely look "telltale" up as I don't want to blow the engine.

Ummm, yes there is.

The exit fitting part number is

Mercury-Mercruiser 22-813613 FITTING

and the hose was

Mercury-Mercruiser 32-8M0108355 Hose

and the engine end fitting was

Mercury-Mercruiser 22-996642 FITTING Elbow

There was a sticky post at the top of this forum about adding a telltale to a Force outboard, but it looks like the link is misdirected, which is why I suggested doing a search.....none of them came with a factory installed pee hole, pisser, or telltale...

Sorry topgun, the old chryslers and the us marine units from the 80's had no telltale.
Most late model Mercury Force motors had them.
120 hp 1995-1999
25 hp in 1996-1998
40 and 50 hp 1996 1999
1991-1995 70 hp
75 hp 1996-1999
90 hp 1996-1999
I've got a couple in the barn if you'd like to check em out.

CamFam, your motor has a telltale.
Watch this video to see where it is located.

Hey Topgun, you're partial right! the older ones you had to add one if so requested, but I did not know either that on the later models it came standard? (the "newest" one I know is a '92 with Merc. ignition-box)

I’ve got a 93 Force 70hp that has a telltale..... EVERY year I’ve got to clean it out before the season starts. Invariably the bugs get in there...it’s one of the first things I check before firing her up for the season.

Just put a piece of electrical tape over the telltale when you are done winterizing the boat, to keep the bugs out.
Pull the tape off in spring.

And put a plastic bag over the prop to keep mice from nesting in the gearcase.

Good advice, I go as far as putting tape over the hole in the top-cowl to keep the mice out
(the hole under the handle to remove the cowl)

i have read all the replys here. Begs the question, how can the engine run w/o cooling? If you have the option to add one, kinda implies that it will run fine w/o it. Is that true? What is gained by adding it?
