Is the water supposed to flow like this?

It’s a 1972 Johnson 100 V4
model 100ESL72R
SN 13685403
And I want to make sure the pump is working.

With the engine off and muffs hooked up…
· A good stream coming from holes with blue arrows.
· A mild stream coming from holes with green arrows.
· A slight dribble from the green box.

With the engine idling…

· Still a good stream coming from holes with blue arrows but slightly weaker than when the engine was off.
· A very weak stream coming from holes with green arrows.
· A mild dribble from the green box.
· Exhaust gases and water sputtering out where the red circles are.

I kept touching the heads and cylinders and they were only slightly warm after 5 minutes of idling.

Water from the slots in the green box with the engine OFF might be a leaky water pump or water pump seals. I know water exits here when it is running though. Blue arrows and green arrows are drains, they appear to be fine
