is OMC 5.0L Cobra a regular 305?

My engine locked up. Is the 5.0L OMC Cobra a chevy 305? Can you rebuild it with standard 305 parts? How much will this run? Is it worth it? 1989 Cobra in a 1989 Four Winns boat with a cobra outdrive.

The difference is the core plugs are brass the cam is a marine grind and the headgaskets are different.
As far as it being worth it, thats your call.

Bite the bullet, install a 350 long block, enjoy the boat for the first time.
