Hi to everyone,
I have done compression test on my outboard Force 70 hp,model 1991,and found 1-->120 psi,2-->122 psi,3-->120 psi.
Is my motor ok with above gauge reading or needs piston rings replacement ??
Thanks

You didn't mention if the readings were from a dry or wet test however either way, those readings are fine and within good operating specifications.

Those are good readings.If it had been off on 1 cylinder say 120-80-120
That would be a problem.
You should do a de-carb once a year.More often if you use the boat a lot.
Mercurys Power Tune or Sea Foam do a good job.Any PM on a marine moter is a good thing.
One of the worst things for a boat is letting it set.J

Can you get either product? Local Mercury dealer should be able to help.
I don't know what's available as far as auto stores but Sea Foam should be found. Then follow the directions.J
